Friday was a great day for Ryan Grening, as he hit two home runs to carry the Big Bend (8-0) to a 9-4 victory over the Thompsons River at Johnson-O'Brien Stadium in six innings.

J Iiannetti racked up two RBIs on one hit for the Thompsons River. He homered in the second inning.

Tyler Winkler improved to 1-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Big Bend. He allowed three runs over five innings. Winkler struck out four, walked one and gave up four hits.

F Fisco ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his second loss of the year. He allowed nine runs in four innings, walked three and struck out one.

The Big Bend were sparked by Tyler Barber and Grening, who teamed up for four hits and four RBIs.
