A walk-off double from Jose Vargas brought home the winning run for the Traverse City Beach Bums (5-0) in a 6-5 victory over the River City Rascals at Wuerfel Park on Wednesday.

Vargas put himself in scoring position with two extra-base hits for the Traverse City Beach Bums. He singled in the fourth inning, homered in the sixth inning, and doubled in the ninth inning.

Bret Dahlson recorded his first win of the year for the Traverse City Beach Bums. He struck out one, walked three and surrendered two hits.

Victor Beriguete was charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just zero innings, walked none, struck out none, and allowed no runs.

The Traverse City Beach Bums' Jeff DeBlieux, Vargas, Greg Harisis and Alex Tomasovich combined for eight hits and four RBIs.
