The Trinidad Triggers (20-12) had a tough outing on Monday, as the Alpine Cowboys (20-13) dominated in a 12-6 win at Central Park.
Jarret Young got on base four times in the game for the Alpine Cowboys. He singled in the second and fifth innings and doubled in the sixth inning.
The Alpine Cowboys relied on Kevin Klaess to eat up innings en route to the win. Klaess allowed one earned run, five hits and one walk while striking out five over six innings of work.
Eric Williams racked up two RBIs on three hits for the Trinidad Triggers. He homered in the sixth inning and singled in the third and seventh innings.
Matt Horan was charged with his second loss of the year. He allowed nine runs in five innings, walked one and struck out four.
