An impressive effort by Chevas Numata lifted the Santa Fe Fuego (14-7) to a 20-7 win over the Las Vegas Train Robbers (10-15) on Sunday at Fort Marcy Park.
Numata rocked the Las Vegas Train Robbers with three home runs. Numata went 4-5 in the game with five RBIs and four runs scored. Numata homered in the first, fourth, fourth, fourth, fourth, and seventh innings.
The Santa Fe Fuego didn't let up, as they kept racking up runs until the end. The Santa Fe Fuego scored six runs in the final three innings to cap the blowout win. Rodney Tafoya couldn't get it done on the bump for the Las Vegas Train Robbers, taking a loss. He allowed six runs in two innings, walked one and struck out none.
The Santa Fe Fuego pounded the Las Vegas Train Robbers pitching, as six hitters combined for 17 hits, 16 RBIs and 16 runs scored.
