The Atwater Aviators (9-9) took down the San Mateo Rounders 9-1 on Friday at Fireman's Memorial Ballpark after slamming the San Mateo Rounders with five runs in the fourth inning.

The Atwater Aviators scored in the fourth on a sacrifice fly by Asuka Hashimoto, a single by Karson Canaday, , , an RBI double by Lucas Lorenz, and a double by Lorenz.

Dustin Gaither got on base three times in the game for the Atwater Aviators. He scored two runs and had one RBI. He singled in the fourth and fifth innings.

The San Mateo Rounders couldn't get anything going as long as Marcus Manderbach was pitching. Manderbach gave up just one hit, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out five during his five innings of work.

Brandon Owens was charged with the loss. He allowed seven runs in 3 2/3 innings, walked three and struck out two.
