Juan Sanchez went 2-4 and hit a home run, helping the Lake Erie Crushers (38-53) to a 3-2 victory over the Joliet Slammers (39-53) on Wednesday at All Pro Freight Stadium.

The Joliet Slammers couldn't get anything going so long as Mike Devine was on the hill. The Joliet Slammers managed just one hit off of Devine, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out four during his three innings of work.

Luke Crumley was effective even in defeat, mowing down six the Lake Erie Crushers batters and allowing zero runs.

Daniel DeSimone recorded his second win of the year for the Lake Erie Crushers. He allowed one run over five innings. DeSimone struck out two, walked two and gave up two hits.

Kevin Walter (2-9) took the loss for the Joliet Slammers. He lasted just three innings, walked one, struck out three, and allowed three runs.
