Jake Negrete kept the Lake Erie Crushers (34-45) off the board during his six innings of work and the Normal CornBelters (48-32) beat the Lake Erie Crushers, 2-1.

Negrete struck out seven and allowed one walk and two hits.

Anderson Hidalgo got on base three times in the game for the Lake Erie Crushers. He also drove in one runner. He singled in the fifth inning and doubled in the seventh innings.
