Kurt Wertz Jr. clubbed two home runs as the Evansville Otters (48-26) took home a 4-3 victory over the Rockford Aviators (41-33) at Aviator Stadium on Wednesday.

The Rockford Aviators' lineup had no answer for Connor Little. Little held the Rockford Aviators hitless over 1 1/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three.

Tony Rizzotti was effective even in defeat, mowing down eight the Evansville Otters batters and allowing three runs.

Michael Hur got on base three times in the game for the Rockford Aviators. He doubled in the first inning and singled in the fifth inning.

Matt Frahm (2-3) took the loss for the Rockford Aviators. He lasted just one inning, walked none, struck out one, and allowed one run.
