The Windy City ThunderBolts (29-42) didn't put up much of a fight on Sunday, as the River City Rascals (40-32) cruised to a blowout 8-2 win at T. R. Hughes Ballpark.

A two-run home run by Josh Ludy helped the River City Rascals score two runs in the eighth. The River City Rascals had three hits in the inning.

Taylor Ard racked up three RBIs on three hits for the River City Rascals. He homered in the third inning and singled in the sixth and seventh innings.

The River City Rascals relied on Lucas Laster to eat up innings en route to the win. Laster pitched seven innings and allowed two earned runs, seven hits and two walks while striking out five.

Marquis Riley was hot from the plate for the Windy City ThunderBolts. Riley went 2-4, drove in one and scored one run. He singled in the second inning and homered in the fourth inning.

Travis Tingle (5-6) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just six innings, walked none, struck out four, and allowed five runs.
