The Gateway Grizzlies (25-43) outlasted the Windy City ThunderBolts (29-39) at Standard Bank Stadium 4-3 on Thursday after 10 innings.
With the score tied at three, Blake Brown came to the plate and homered.
Brown did his best to jumpstart the offense for the Gateway Grizzlies, reaching base three times. He scored three runs and had one RBI. He singled in the seventh inning and homered in the tenth inning.
The Windy City ThunderBolts' lineup had no answer for Tyler Thompson. Thompson held the Windy City ThunderBolts hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three.
