Grant Buckner went 1-3 and hit a home run, sparking the Gateway Grizzlies (22-37) to a 5-2 victory over the Normal CornBelters (34-26) on Sunday at The Corn Crib.

Trevor Richards picked up the win for the Gateway Grizzlies. Richards pitched seven innings and allowed one earned run, five hits and two walks while striking out five.

Aaron Dudley got on base three times in the game for the Normal CornBelters. He singled in the fourth inning and doubled in the eighth inning.

Kevin Johnson was charged with his third loss of the year. He lasted just six innings, walked two, struck out two, and allowed four runs.
