The Florence Freedom (24-27) continued to pile up the runs on Sunday, scoring three runs in the last three innings, on the way to a 12-3 landslide win over the Schaumburg Boomers (22-29) at Schaumburg Boomers Stadium.

A home run by Sam Eberle helped the Florence Freedom score four runs in the fifth. The Florence Freedom had two hits in the inning.

Eberle racked up four RBIs on three hits for the Florence Freedom.

Jeremy Gooding recorded his third win of the year for the Florence Freedom. He allowed two runs over 6 2/3 innings. Gooding struck out four, walked two and gave up seven hits.

Scotty Ward was charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just four innings, walked one, struck out none, and allowed five runs.
