The Florence Freedom (20-25) beat the River City Rascals (23-21) 5-1 on Sunday at UC Health Stadium behind Steve Carrillo, who went 2-3.

He singled in the second and fourth innings.

Chuck Weaver picked up the win for the Florence Freedom. Weaver allowed one earned run, five hits and five walks while striking out three over seven innings of work.

It was a good day at the plate for the River City Rascals' Zach Kometani. Kometani went 1-4, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the fourth inning.

Lucas Laster (0-1) took the loss for the River City Rascals. He lasted just 3 2/3 innings, walked one, struck out three, and allowed five runs.
