The Rockford Aviators (27-15) pounded the Traverse City Beach Bums (29-14) on Sunday 8-1 at Wuerfel Park.

A two-run double by Collin Shaw and a two-run double by Michael Hur helped the Rockford Aviators score four runs in the seventh. The Rockford Aviators had five hits in the inning.

The Traverse City Beach Bums were ahead early but they ultimately surrendered the lead for good. The Traverse City Beach Bums led until the fourth inning, but the Rockford Aviators took the lead back on an RBI single by Hur.

Hur racked up three RBIs on four hits for the Rockford Aviators.

Kyle Hassna improved to 6-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Rockford Aviators. He allowed one run over six innings. Hassna struck out three, walked two and gave up nine hits.

Luis DeJesus was charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just five innings, walked two, struck out three, and allowed three runs.
