Richard Lucas went 1-2 and hit a home run, helping the Normal CornBelters (23-17) to a 6-5 victory over the River City Rascals (22-17) on Tuesday at The Corn Crib.

The River City Rascals were led by Taylor Ard's hitting. Ard went 2-3, drove in one and scored one run. He singled in the second inning and homered in the fourth inning.

Horacio Acosta improved to 3-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Normal CornBelters. He allowed one run over one inning. He struck out one, walked one and surrendered one hit.

Heith Hatfield was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just one inning, walked one, struck out one, and allowed two runs.
