The Evansville Otters (16-6) beat the Normal CornBelters (15-7) 9-4 in seven innings on Wednesday at Bosse Field behind Chris Sweeney, who went 1-1 and hit a home run.

Preston Olson got the win, running his season record to 4-1. He allowed four runs over five innings. He struck out nine, walked two and surrendered seven hits.

Michael Schweiss (2-2) took the loss for the Normal CornBelters. He allowed seven runs in four innings, walked three and struck out six.
