Tanner Witt went 2-2, helping the Rockford Aviators (13-4) to a 5-4 victory over the Washington Wild Things (8-9) on Wednesday at CONSOL Energy Park.

He doubled in the third inning and singled in the sixth inning.

Lee Orr boosted his batting average thanks to a perfect 2-2 day at the plate to pace the Washington Wild Things. He homered in the first inning and singled in the fifth inning.

Roberto Padilla got the win, running his season record to 1-0. He struck out one, walked none and surrendered two hits.

Richie Mirowski (0-1) took the loss for the Washington Wild Things. He lasted just one inning, walked three, struck out two, and allowed two runs.
