The Normal CornBelters take out the Washington Wild Things with help from McKenna, 4-3

Patrick McKenna went 1-2, sparking the Normal CornBelters (5-3) to a 4-3 victory over the Washington Wild Things (1-7) on Saturday at The Corn Crib.

He singled in the first inning.

Kevin Brahney picked up the win for the Normal CornBelters. Brahney allowed one earned run, four hits and one walk while striking out four over six innings of work.

C.J. Beatty had two extra-base hits for the Washington Wild Things. He doubled in the fourth inning and homered in the eighth inning.

Kyle Helisek couldn't get it done on the bump for the Washington Wild Things, taking a loss. He lasted just five innings, walked three, struck out four, and allowed two runs.
