The River City Rascals (3-5) beat the Frontier Greys (1-6) 6-4 on Friday at T. R. Hughes Ballpark behind Danny Canela, who went 2-4 and hit a home run.

Scott Carcaise was hot from the plate for the Frontier Greys. Carcaise went 2-3, drove in one and scored two runs. He doubled in the seventh inning.

Joe Scanio improved to 2-0 on the year by picking up the win for the River City Rascals. He allowed four runs over 6 2/3 innings. Scanio struck out seven, walked one and gave up six hits.

Bobby Shore ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just 4 2/3 innings, walked one, struck out four, and allowed five runs.
