The Normal CornBelters (21-17) rolled over the Windy City ThunderBolts 10-2 on Wednesday at Standard Bank Stadium after a nine-run rally in the third inning.

The Normal CornBelters scored in the third on an RBI single by Santiago Chirino, an RBI single by Chirino, an RBI single by Mike Schwartz, an RBI single by Sam Judah, an RBI single by Aaron Dudley, an RBI single by Patrick McKenna, an RBI single by McKenna, an RBI single by Richard Lucas, and a two-run double by Jhiomar Veras.

McKenna did his best to jumpstart the offense for the Normal CornBelters, reaching base four times.

Corey MacDonald picked up the win for the Normal CornBelters. MacDonald allowed two earned runs, four hits and three walks while striking out three over six innings of work.

Travis Tingle (4-2) was the game's losing pitcher. He allowed nine runs in 2 1/3 innings, walked one and struck out one.
