An awesome effort by Yermin Mercedes spurred the White Sands Pupfish (17-22) to a 7-4 win over the Las Vegas Train Robbers (12-26) on Sunday.

Mercedes rocked the Las Vegas Train Robbers with two home runs. Mercedes went 2-4 in the game with three RBIs and two runs scored. Mercedes homered in the first and eighth innings.

The Las Vegas Train Robbers had the lead early, but couldn't hold off the White Sands Pupfish. The Las Vegas Train Robbers were up until the eighth inning, but the White Sands Pupfish had other plans for the final outcome, taking the lead back on a solo home run by Mercedes.

The Las Vegas Train Robbers couldn't get anything going as long as Mike Delong was pitching. The Las Vegas Train Robbers managed just two hits off of Delong, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out six during his five innings of work.
