An eight-run explosion in the fourth inning spurred the Rockford Aviators (23-28) to a 12-1 win in seven innings over the Frontier Greys (15-37) at Aviator Stadium on Sunday.

The Rockford Aviators scored in the fourth on an RBI double by Jeff Kremer, an RBI single by Edgar Corcino, an RBI single by Brian Bistagne, a fielder's choice, an RBI single by Ryan Breen, , an RBI single by Tanner Witt, and an RBI single by Corcino.

Breen racked up three RBIs on four hits for the Rockford Aviators.

Josh Slaats pitched lights out for the Rockford Aviators. The Frontier Greys managed just three hits off of the the Rockford Aviators' pitcher, who allowed one earned run, walked one and struck out two during his five innings of work.

Oliver Van Zant was charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just 1 1/3 innings, walked two, struck out none, and allowed three runs.
