The Santa Fe Fuego make the most of 9 hits in 7-4 victory over the Taos Blizzard

The Santa Fe Fuego (45-22) and the Taos Blizzard (22-41) both had scoring chances on Thursday, but it was the Santa Fe Fuego that were able to capitalize on them as they pulled out a 7-4 win at Fort Marcy Park.

Chevas Numata racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Santa Fe Fuego. He singled in the fourth and sixth innings.

A bright spot for the Taos Blizzard in the defeat was Mike Straub, who allowed only three runs while striking out 12.

Briston Clingman improved to 2-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Santa Fe Fuego. Clingman struck out one, walked none and gave up three hits.

Connor Sullivan was charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just two-thirds of an inning, walked one, struck out one, and allowed four runs.
