Evan Mansell hit two home runs to carry the Taos Blizzard (22-41) to an 8-1 win over the Raton Osos (23-39) at Gabriele Park.
The biggest inning for the Taos Blizzard was the fifth. In the inning the Taos Blizzard scored six runs. The Taos Blizzard scored in the fifth on an RBI single by Jared Hunt, a home run by Mansell, and an RBI single by Alex Fera.
The Taos Blizzard relied on Richie Anderson to eat up innings en route to the win. Anderson allowed no earned runs, eight hits and no walks while striking out five over nine innings of work.
Kellen Quintana was charged with his seventh loss of the year. He allowed seven runs in five innings, walked four and struck out nine.
The Taos Blizzard were sparked by Hunt and Mansell, who teamed up for four hits and six RBIs.
