Great game from the Santa Fe Fuego's Cutspec not enough in 12-11 loss to the Trinidad Triggers

The Santa Fe Fuego (22-14) failed to take advantage of Brice Cutspec's effort at the plate on Friday, losing 12-11 to the Trinidad Triggers (18-15) at Central Park.

Cutspec hit two home runs for the Santa Fe Fuego. Cutspec went 2-5 in the game with five RBIs and two runs scored. Cutspec homered in the first and third innings.

Each team blasted the other's pitching, and there were 23 total runs and 22 hits during the game. Relief pitchers got their fill of innings during the game, with the opposing managers using seven pitchers in total.

Chris Escobar racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Trinidad Triggers. He tripled in the third inning and singled in the eighth inning.

Zach Leitten had an impressive outing against the Santa Fe Fuego's lineup. The Santa Fe Fuego managed just one hit off of Leitten, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two during his two innings of work.

Kevin McGovern got his third win for the Trinidad Triggers despite allowing 10 runs over six innings. McGovern struck out 10, walked one and gave up seven hits.

Josh Downing (1-2) took the loss for the Santa Fe Fuego. He allowed eight runs in five innings, walked two and struck out three.
