The Alpine Cowboys (40-18) built an early edge on Thursday, but the Douglas Diablos (25-29) roared back to steal a 4-2 victory at Kokernot Field.

While the Alpine Cowboys led until the ninth inning, the Douglas Diablos worked their way back and took the lead on a two-run single by Yuki Yasuda.

Jake Hovis picked up the win for the Douglas Diablos. Hovis allowed no earned runs, nine hits and three walks while striking out five over eight innings of work.

Ryan Rogers (4-1) took the loss for the Alpine Cowboys. He lasted just one inning, walked two, struck out two, and allowed two runs.
