A superb effort by Josh Mooney hoisted the Roswell Invaders (26-20) to a 7-4 win over the Douglas Diablos on Tuesday at Joe Bauman Park.
Mooney struck out 12, paving the way for a the Roswell Invaders win. Mooney allowed one earned run, five hits and one walk over nine innings.
It was a good day at the plate for the Roswell Invaders' Jordan Johnson. Johnson went 3-5, drove in one and scored three runs. He doubled in the third inning and singled in the first and seventh innings.
Jean Batista had a hot bat for the Douglas Diablos (20-25). Batista went 1-4, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the first inning.
Ebert Rosario couldn't get it done on the mound for the Douglas Diablos, taking a loss. He lasted just five innings, walked one, struck out seven, and allowed three runs.
