The Santa Fe Fuego top the Las Vegas Train Robbers behind Johnson's 3 hits, 12-7

A superb effort by Charles Johnson lifted the Santa Fe Fuego (29-18) to a 12-7 win over the Las Vegas Train Robbers (14-34) on Thursday at Fort Marcy Park.

Johnson rocked the Las Vegas Train Robbers with two home runs. Johnson went 3-5 in the game with three RBIs and two runs scored. Johnson homered in the second and fourth innings.

Kyal Williams racked up four RBIs on three hits for the Las Vegas Train Robbers. He homered in the sixth inning and doubled in the seventh and ninth innings.

Jeremiah Steinert got his sixth win for the Santa Fe Fuego despite allowing five runs over five innings. He struck out five, walked three and surrendered seven hits.

Ryan Ward ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his fourth loss of the year. He allowed nine runs in 3 2/3 innings, walked three and struck out two.
