Fans were treated to a high-scoring affair Monday as the Roswell Invaders (17-6) outscored the Raton Osos (8-13) 10-9.
The two teams combined for 24 hits in the game.
Andrew Arp racked up three RBIs on four hits for the Roswell Invaders. He singled in the fifth, sixth, and seventh innings and doubled in the eighth inning.
The Roswell Invaders got the win thanks in large part to Josh Mooney's dominant, 10-strikeout performance. Mooney allowed two earned runs, nine hits and four walks over eight innings.
Cie Arell reached base three times. He singled in the third and seventh innings.
Derrick Mitchell couldn't get it done on the mound for the Raton Osos, taking a loss. He lasted just 4 2/3 innings, walked six, struck out two, and allowed three runs.
