Seth Granger had two extra base hits, helping the Joliet Slammers (38-55) to a 5-4 victory over the Frontier Greys (29-63) on Sunday at Silver Cross Field.

The Frontier Greys had no answer for Kevin McNorton, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. The Frontier Greys managed just one hit off of the the Joliet Slammers' pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two during his two innings of work.

Zach Tanner was solid at the plate for the Frontier Greys. Tanner went 1-4, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the fourth inning.

Paul Mittura was charged with his fourth loss of the year. He lasted just one-third of an inning, walked none, struck out one, and allowed one run.
