The Washington Wild Things make the most of 10 hits in 7-5 victory over the Windy City ThunderBolts

The Washington Wild Things (47-29) and the Windy City ThunderBolts (27-48) both threatened with rallies, but it was the Washington Wild Things that eventually took advantage of them in a 7-5 win at Standard Bank Stadium.

Cole Martin racked up three RBIs on three hits for the Washington Wild Things. He doubled in the sixth innings and singled in the fifth and eighth innings.

Zac Fuesser picked up the win for the Washington Wild Things. Fuesser pitched 6 2/3 innings and allowed one earned run, eight hits and no walks while striking out five.

Garrett Carey had a busy day at the plate, collecting two extra-base hits. He doubled in the fifth and ninth innings.

Hein Robb ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just five innings, walked three, struck out two, and allowed four runs.
