An outstanding effort by Troy Marks lifted the Washington Wild Things (39-23) to a 2-0 win in seven innings over the Evansville Otters (37-23) on Monday at Bosse Field.
Marks' 11 strikeouts helped the Washington Wild Things to the victory. The Washington Wild Things' pitcher tossed seven innings of shutout ball and allowed only two hits.
A bright spot for the Evansville Otters in the defeat was Blake Monar, who allowed only two runs while striking out eight.
Monar (1-4) took the loss for the Evansville Otters.
