Jordan Dean racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Schaumburg Boomers. He doubled in the fourth inning and singled in the fifth inning.
Rob Benedict put himself in scoring position with two extra-base hits for the Traverse City Beach Bums. He doubled in the first and third innings and singled in the eighth inning.
Danny Jimenez got his fifth win for the Schaumburg Boomers despite allowing six runs over five innings. Jimenez struck out four, walked three and gave up 10 hits.
Rusty Shellhorn ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his second loss of the year. He allowed 10 runs in 4 2/3 innings, walked five and struck out five.
