Justin Vasquez collected three hits, helping the Schaumburg Boomers (29-23) to a 7-6 victory over the Rockford Aviators (23-28) on Thursday at Aviator Stadium.

He homered in the fifth inning and singled in the first and eighth innings.

Eddie Cody struck out seven hitters en route to the the Schaumburg Boomers win. The Schaumburg Boomers' pitcher gave up just three hits over five shutout innings.

Edgar Corcino racked up three RBIs on one hit for the Rockford Aviators. He homered in the first inning.

Kyle Hassna couldn't get it done on the hill for the Rockford Aviators, taking a loss. He lasted just two innings, walked two, struck out three, and allowed one run.
