The Normal CornBelters (20-17) beat the Frontier Greys (9-30) 11-4 on Sunday at The Corn Crib after a six-run explosion in the fifth inning.

The Normal CornBelters scored in the fifth on a double by Jhiomar Veras, , a solo home run by Sam Judah, a two-run single by Roman Hernandez, and a double by Dylan Kelly.

Richard Lucas put himself in scoring position with two extra-base hits for the Normal CornBelters. He doubled in the fifth inning, singled in the fourth and sixth innings, and homered in the eighth inning.

Jon Minucci racked up two RBIs on one hit for the Frontier Greys. He homered in the fourth inning.

Bobby Shore improved to 3-1 on the year by picking up the win for the Normal CornBelters. He allowed four runs over 6 2/3 innings. Shore struck out six, walked three and gave up six hits.

Josh Hildebrand ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his second loss of the year. He allowed six runs in one inning, walked one and struck out two.
