The Rockford Aviators (17-18) beat the Windy City ThunderBolts (14-22) 2-1 on Friday at Standard Bank Stadium behind Edgar Corcino, who collected three hits.

Josh Slaats struck out six hitters en route to the the Rockford Aviators win. Slaats allowed one earned run, three hits and three walks over seven innings.

Daniel Cropper kept the Rockford Aviators off the board during his five innings of work. Cropper struck out four and allowed one walk and six hits.

Victor Larez (1-1) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just one inning, walked two, struck out one, and allowed two runs.
