Boxscore | Game Recap | Boxscore Text Version | Gamelive Version

The Frontier Greys outdone by Sweeney and the Evansville Otters, 5-2

Story by Narrative Science.

Chris Sweeney went 2-3 and hit a home run, sparking the Evansville Otters (5-3) to a 5-2 victory over the Frontier Greys (1-7) on Saturday at Bosse Field.

He homered in the fourth inning and singled in the sixth inning.

The Evansville Otters got the win thanks in large part to Terance Marin's dominant, 11-strikeout performance. Marin allowed two earned runs, five hits and one walk over six innings.

The Evansville Otters had no answer for Cameron Lamb, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. Lamb held the Evansville Otters hitless over 1 1/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two.

Kyle Blair couldn't get it done on the rubber for the Frontier Greys, taking a loss. He lasted just three innings, walked one, struck out two, and allowed four runs.
