The Traverse City Beach Bums (1-3) built an early edge on Tuesday, but the Florence Freedom (4-0) roared back to steal a 4-3 victory at UC Health Stadium.

The Florence Freedom took the lead in the eighth inning on an RBI single by Joe Staley.

Staley racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Florence Freedom. He doubled in the first inning and singled in the eighth innings.

Daniel DeSimone got the win, running his season record to 2-0. He struck out two, walked one and surrendered one hit.

D.J. Johnson (0-1) took the loss for the Traverse City Beach Bums. He lasted just two-thirds of an inning, walked none, struck out none, and allowed one run.
