Stewart Ijames clubbed two home runs, but it wasn't enough to carry the Washington Wild Things (33-36) to a win on Wednesday, as the Washington Wild Things fell to the Joliet Slammers (31-39) 9-5 at Consol Energy Park in 10 innings.

Nick Akins racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Joliet Slammers. He homered in the third inning and doubled in the seventh inning.

Brett Zawacki improved to 5-6 on the year by picking up the win for the Joliet Slammers. Zawacki struck out two, walked one and gave up one hit.

Jhonny Montoya (3-1) took the loss for the Washington Wild Things. He lasted just one inning, walked three, struck out one, and allowed four runs.
