Fans were treated to a high-scoring affair Sunday as the Schaumburg Boomers (16-11) outscored the River City Rascals (9-16) 11-8 in seven innings.

The teams totaled 23 hits in the game.

Gerard Hall racked up three RBIs on three hits for the Schaumburg Boomers. He doubled in the third inning, homered in the sixth inning, and singled in the seventh inning.

The River City Rascals couldn't get anything going as long as Chris Phelan was on the mound. Phelan gave up just three hits, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out one during his five innings of work.

Jason Taylor racked up two RBIs on one hit for the River City Rascals. He homered in the sixth inning.

Justin Sarratt ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his third loss of the year. He lasted just 2 1/3 innings, walked none, struck out two, and allowed five runs.
