The Traverse City Beach Bums (2-3) were unable to fight back from the big hole they dug themselves into against the Evansville Otters (2-3), and the Traverse City Beach Bums lost 6-5 to the Evansville Otters after falling behind by five runs in the fourth inning.

The Traverse City Beach Bums scored on an RBI single by Taylor Wrenn in the sixth inning and a two-run double by Sean Gusrang and a sacrifice fly by Zach Kometani in the seventh inning. Despite their efforts, the Traverse City Beach Bums couldn't get over the hump.

Nick Schwaner went a perfect 4-4 at the plate for the Evansville Otters. He homered in the first inning and singled in the fourth and fifth innings.

Gusrang racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Traverse City Beach Bums.

Bryce Morrow recorded his first win for the Evansville Otters even though he allowed five runs over six innings. He struck out three, walked four and surrendered seven hits.

Jacob Clem (0-2) took the loss for the Traverse City Beach Bums. He allowed six runs in 3 2/3 innings, walked one and struck out three.
