Roger Bernal had three RBIs as the Roswell Invaders (40-15) took home an 8-7 victory over the Las Vegas Train Robbers (33-21) at Rodriguez Park on Thursday.
He singled in the third and fifth innings and doubled in the ninth inning.Ed Kohout racked up six strikeouts in the the Roswell Invaders win. Kohout allowed two earned runs on six hits and no walks over seven innings.
Will Walsh was solid at the plate for the Las Vegas Train Robbers. Walsh went 2-5, drove in one and scored two runs. He homered in the fifth inning and singled in the eighth inning.
Michael Kershner (1-1) took the loss for the Las Vegas Train Robbers. He lasted just one inning, walked one, struck out one, and allowed two runs.
