Garrett Jenner was cold coming off the bench, but Jenner warmed up quickly as Jenner stroked a key pinch-hit single in the six to lead the Roswell Invaders (30-9) to a 15-8 win over the Santa Fe Fuego (16-20) on Tuesday at Fort Marcy Park.
With the score tied at seven in the sixth inning, Jenner came to the plate and singled, scoring Vincent Mejia.
Each team blasted the other's pitching, and there were 23 total runs and 31 hits during the game. There were 10 pitchers used in the game as the two managers searched for any way to finish it off.
The Roswell Invaders turned the win into a rout with five runs in the eighth.
Ryan Normoyle racked up six RBIs on three hits for the Roswell Invaders. He doubled in the first and eighth innings.
Andrew Shoemaker recorded his fourth win for the Roswell Invaders even though he allowed six runs over 3 1/3 innings. Shoemaker struck out one, walked none and gave up 10 hits.
Larry Rodriguez (2-1) took the loss for the Santa Fe Fuego. He allowed six runs in five innings, walked three and struck out one.
