A superb effort by Logan Lotti spurred the Alpine Cowboys (18-16) to a 6-3 win over the White Sands Pupfish (17-17) on Thursday at Kokernot Field.

Lotti hit two home runs for the Alpine Cowboys. Lotti went 3-4 in the game with two RBIs and two runs scored. Lotti homered in the fifth and ninth innings.

Chris Anklam was effective even in defeat, mowing down six the Alpine Cowboys batters and allowing two runs.

JJ Costantino was hot from the plate for the White Sands Pupfish. Costantino went 3-5 and scored one run. He doubled in the first inning and singled in the third and seventh innings.

Sean Kistler improved to 1-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Alpine Cowboys. Kistler struck out one, walked none and gave up one hit.

Ernesto Zaragaza couldn't get it done on the mound for the White Sands Pupfish, taking a loss. He lasted just one inning, walked none, struck out one, and allowed three runs.
