Normoyle's walk-off single send the Roswell Invaders home winners, 9-8

A walk-off single from Ryan Normoyle brought home the winning run for the Roswell Invaders (39-15) in a 9-8 victory over the Alpine Cowboys at Joe Bauman Park on Saturday.

It was a good day at the plate for the Roswell Invaders' Normoyle. Normoyle went 2-5, drove in one and scored two runs. He doubled in the eighth inning and singled in the ninth inning.

Each team blasted the other's pitching, and there were 17 total runs and 23 hits during the game. There were nine pitchers used in the game as the two managers searched for any way to finish it off.

Andrew Deeds racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Roswell Invaders. He homered in the second inning and singled in the ninth inning.

Eric Lambe got the win, running his season record to 8-0. Lambe struck out one, walked none and gave up no hits.

Scott Hartling (3-2) took the loss for the Alpine Cowboys (34-20). He lasted just two-thirds of an inning, walked none, struck out one, and allowed one run.
