The Sioux Falls Canaries scored three runs in the seventh on a two-run double by Steve Domecus and a wild pitch. Despite their efforts, the Sioux Falls Canaries couldn't finish the comeback.

Palmer Karr racked up three RBIs on three hits for the Sioux City Explorers. He homered in the second innings and singled in the third and sixth innings.

Ben Moore (0-1) took the loss for the Sioux Falls Canaries. He lasted just six innings, walked none, struck out seven, and allowed five runs.
