Fans were treated to a high-scoring affair Sunday as the Newark Bears (1-2) outscored the Rockland Boulders (2-1) 10-9.

The two teams combined for 19 hits in the game.

The teams traded runs for most of the contest, leading to seven lead changes in the game.

Bridger Hunt racked up four RBIs on three hits for the Newark Bears. He homered in the first inning and singled in the fifth and sixth innings.

Leandro Mella improved to 1-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Newark Bears. He allowed two runs over 1 2/3 innings. Mella struck out two, walked three and gave up two hits.

Dan Sausville (0-1) took the loss for the Rockland Boulders. He lasted just four innings, walked one, struck out three, and allowed two runs.
