The Florence Freedom top the Evansville Otters behind Jacquot's 2 hits, 12-5

A great effort by Jim Jacquot led the Florence Freedom (42-34) to a 12-5 win over the Evansville Otters (36-39) on Tuesday at UCMC Stadium.

Jacquot rocked the Evansville Otters with two home runs. Jacquot went 2-5 in the game with four RBIs and two runs scored. Jacquot homered in the first and third innings.

The Florence Freedom blew out the Evansville Otters thanks to 14 hits, including zero extra base hits. A three-run home run by Jeremy Hamilton helped the Florence Freedom score three runs in the fourth. The Florence Freedom had three hits in the inning.

Michael Oros pitched lights out for the Florence Freedom. The Evansville Otters managed just one hit off of Oros, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out nine during his five innings of work.

Nick Schwaner racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Evansville Otters. He homered in the second inning and singled in the fourth inning.

Brent Choban recorded his fourth win of the year for the Florence Freedom. He struck out two, walked one and surrendered one hit.

Matt Zielinski (9-5) took the loss for the Evansville Otters. He allowed nine runs in four innings, walked one and struck out one.
