It took 10 innings, but the Rockford Aviators (28-45) managed to put away the Florence Freedom (39-34) 2-1 on Saturday at Aviator Stadium.

With the score tied at one in the tenth inning, Elvin Rodriguez came to the plate and singled, bringing home Michael Hur.

Andrew Snowdon brought the heat against the Florence Freedom during his outing. The Florence Freedom managed just one hit off of the the Rockford Aviators' pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three during his 2 2/3 innings of work.

Despite the loss, the Florence Freedom's Chuck Weaver dominated the Rockford Aviators' batters, giving up one run and striking out seven.

Matt Frahm got the win, running his season record to 6-0. He struck out one, walked none and surrendered no hits.

Daniel DeSimone ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his fourth loss of the year. He lasted just one-third of an inning, walked none, struck out none, and allowed one run.
