He doubled in the fourth inning and tripled in the seventh inning.Gary Lee pitched 6 2/3 innings and allowed no earned runs, five hits and one walk while striking out three.
Despite the loss, the Normal CornBelters' Ryan Demmin dominated the Washington Wild Things' batters, giving up three runs and striking out nine.
Matt Phillips got the win, running his season record to 2-2. He allowed one run over one-third of an inning. He struck out one, walked two and surrendered no hits.
Demmin was charged with his fourth loss of the year.
